On March 28th, Bugao Huang, Member of the CPC, CPC Secretary of the Headquarters Organ, and Director of the Deepening Reform Leading Group Office of Hunan Publishing Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd., led a delegation to our School to discuss issues related to the publishing industry.

VIPs attended the meeting were as followings:

Qian Dai, CPC Deputy Secretary of our School;

Ping Wang, Associate Dean of our School;

Qing Fang, Dean of Wuhan University Publishing Research Institute and Professor at the Department of Publishing Science of our school;

Jie Xu, Associate Dean of Wuhan University Publishing Research Institute and Director of the Department of Publishing Science of our school;

Xiaoqun Yuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Publishing Science;

and some faculty members of the Department of Publishing Science.

In his speech, Xiaoguang Wang expressed gratitude to Hunan Publishing Investment Holding Group for its long-term strong support for the Department of Publishing Science and the Publishing Research Institute. He stated that the two parties have achieved fruitful cooperation in the past and look forward to launching cooperation in more dimensions in the future to produce cutting-edge and landmark achievements, contributing more wisdom and strength to the development of the publishing industry.

At the meeting, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on digital transformation and digital intelligence empowerment, extending from their origins to multiple aspects such as talent training, business training, and project cooperation. When discussing the cooperation mechanism between academia and industry, both sides shared experiences and insights and reached a consensus on potential cooperation. Both sides agreed that the school's achievements in the field of digital intelligence research can provide strong support for advancing the digitalization of enterprise management, industrial digitization, and the digital reform of book publishing; while the rich practical scenarios in the industry can provide a real-world foundation for the implementation and transformation of the school's research achievements, helping research results move from theory to practical application.

By integrating its publishing and media business, it established Central South Publishing Media Group Co., Ltd., which was listed in October 2010, becoming the first leading publishing stock in China to be listed as a whole industry chain.
